MARK CAVENDISH is the BRITISH NATIONAL CHAMPION FOR THE SECOND TIME.
Those of you that watched the British Championship Road Race on Sunday June 26th are in no doubt that he is in the form of his life and he produced a masterclass in how to win a bike race. But this year he is not going to the Tour de France as a member of his Quick Step Alpha Vinyl Team.
This is a huge disappointment for Mark himself and his legions of fans all over the World.
Last year marked the culmination of a spectacular comeback after being out of sorts for a few years. He went to the Tour and won the Skoda Green Points Jersey. He wanted to win it again. That is no longer possible - but YOU could win this one from 2021.
We are lucky enough to have one of those official jerseys provided by Skoda, sublimated with team logos and signed by Mark during the Tour. It has been donated by SKODA to help fund raise for the Rayner Foundation, the UK Charity which gives assistance to young cyclists racing on the Continent where they can experience the same races as Mark when he was 18 and just starting out.
