OSCAR ONLEY from Kelso in Scotland. 19 years of age and a Rayner Foundation supported rider
He joined the DSM Development Team last season, which as part of the World Tour team of that name offers young riders opportunities to switch over to the big team for selected races.
With some steady progress during the past two years he was rewarded with a place in the team selection for the Tour of Britain, a race that was sure to be special to him as the second stage went through his home town of Kelso
He didn’t waste any time in announcing himself to the world by contesting the finish on the climb to Glenshee Ski Station.
Always in the action for the following stages until the untimely cancellation he was rewarded with selection again for the big team at the CRO race in Croatia.
This was the one that has brought his name in front of the eyes of cycling watchers around the world and made him the most searched on the stat websites.
In and out of jerseys all week we saw him go DSM/GREEN KOM/DSM/GREEN KOM/WHITE YOUNG/WHITE YOUNG. Two second places on uphill finishes and third overall to two riders that names need no introduction.
We feel that it wont be long before Oscar graduates from the Rayner Foundation and we cant wait to see what happens next …
