Brother UK Cycling Podcast – Episode 29 The RAYNER Foundation Dinner

"The Rayner Foundation occupies a special place in the affections of the Brother UK Cycling Podcast.


Phil and co-host Timothy John recently attended the Foundation’s annual dinner and charity auction in Leeds. They were joined by two-time British circuit race champion Dean Downing, the guest for our first two episodes, and by Ian Watson, the manager of Team Brother UK-LDN and its Team Watto feeder squad.


Many other guests were interviewed on the night including Keith Lambert who received the Cycling Weekly Lifetime Achievement Award 2021. Tim Harris, Ambassador for the Foundation who flew in especially for the event. The FIVE 2022 Funded Riders that have graduated from the Foundation into the World Tour were highlighted, some of whom have been also interviewed for the Brother Cycling Podcast. Next year they will be racing alongside the five Guests of honour who also came along to support.


Sam Watson, rider of the Year was interviewed as was Hannah Walker host of the Event. Calvert Churchill a former funded rider who launched his new career as an Auctioneer tell sus about his time on the Fund and how it has helped in his career.
